Premiership : Arsenal 2 – 1 Crystal Palace

England Premier League Week 1 : FC Arsenal 2 – 1 Crystal Palace

Going into the 2014-15 England football season, FC Arsenal has spent lots of money to strengthen their side, and enthusiasm was high at opening day kick-off against Crystal Palace, a club competing without a manager.

Former Crystal Palace manager, Tony Pulis, left the club abruptly two days ago, and the players worked hard and seemed determined to win against the Gunners anyway without him. And they kept Arsenal from scoring until the end of the match.

Arsenal did manage to come back to win three points and were the only Premiership club to win their opening home game.

Next Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to focus on their second Champions League qualifier tie against Turkish club Besiktas.

Wenger was proud of his men’s attitude.

Palace were tough and took the lead with a goal by Hangeland in his Palace debut.

Then Koscielny scored the equalizer, a header, for Arsenal.

Palace were reduced to 10 men when Jason Puncheon was sent off with a second booking.

Then came the winner from Aaron Ramsay giving Arsenal the three points they wanted.
